What's new

Updates and improvements to Liquid Radius.

Version 1.0.1

8 June 2026

A quick follow-up to 1.0.0 with two minor fixes.

Fixes

  • Cleaner window on open. Fixed a bug where the Liquid Radius window sometimes opened with a stray title bar and overlapping content. It now opens correctly every time.
  • Updates apply properly. Made sure the latest engine components always install after an update, so the newest fixes actually reach your Mac.

Version 1.0.0

8 June 2026

Liquid Radius reaches 1.0. You can now choose your own corner radius, leave individual apps untouched, and work in a redesigned app, alongside a large round of performance and reliability work.

Highlights

  • Set your own corner radius. Five presets, ranging from Tahoe's rounded corners to NeXTSTEP's square ones. Every window on your Mac follows the one you pick, and you can change it whenever you like.
  • Leave any app untouched. Add an app to the exclude list and it keeps its own corner shape while the rest of your apps follow your radius. Apps can be added or removed at any time.
  • Concentric inner corners. Sidebars and inner panels now round to a smaller, matching radius that follows the window radius you set, so the inside of a window stays in proportion with the outside.
  • A redesigned app. A cleaner interface throughout, including a new Privacy & Security view that explains what each macOS security setting does and shows where your Mac currently stands.
  • Apply several changes at once. Settings now collect together and apply in a single step, so you no longer have to relaunch your apps after every individual change.
  • A proper welcome. The first time you open Liquid Radius, a short set of intro screens walks you through what it does and how it works.
  • A clearer first-run setup. Setup walks you through each step in order, with plainer instructions for the Recovery Mode and Terminal commands.

Fixes and improvements

  • A more efficient engine. We reworked how the corner-radius engine runs so it does the same job with around 80% less background work, keeping Liquid Radius light and out of the way.
  • A gentler restart. Applying a change now relaunches only the apps it affects, and does so more gracefully, so less of your session is disturbed.
  • More stable under Rosetta. Some apps running under Rosetta no longer crash on launch while Liquid Radius is active.
  • Windowless system processes left alone. The tweak no longer reaches background system processes that have no interface, such as sociallayerd, which previously could trigger stray dialogs.
  • Window buttons in tabbed apps. Fixed some apps using tabbed layouts showing their traffic lights too low.

Version 0.4.2

12 May 2026

FileVault compatibility, cleaner uninstall, install image fix.

Highlights

  • FileVault can stay on. You can now re-enable FileVault after install and Liquid Radius keeps working, including through reboots and future updates. FileVault only needs to be off during initial setup so the Recovery commands can run; after that your data drive stays encrypted at rest.
  • Cleaner uninstall. Removing Liquid Radius now fully cleans up the injection components, including a few user-scoped files that previously got left behind in ~/Library/Application Support/.
  • Install image opens cleanly. Fixed an issue where some users got a "damaged or invalid" error trying to mount the Install Liquid Radius disk image. It now opens normally with the standard Gatekeeper prompt.

Version 0.4.1

9 May 2026

Bug fixes and polish.

Highlights

  • Fullscreen mode preserved. Liquid Radius now skips windows in native fullscreen, so the rounded mask no longer crops screen content at the display edges.
  • Quieter terminals. Eliminated diagnostic warnings that appeared in code-editor terminals on launch while the tweak is active.
  • No surprise app relaunches. Reopening the Liquid Radius window during a session no longer force-restarts your other apps, even when Liquid Radius was off the first time you opened it after a reboot, then enabled later.
  • Smoother updates. When a new version is installed, Liquid Radius redeploys the corner-radius engine silently, then asks once whether to refresh your running apps so they pick up the latest fixes.

Version 0.4.0

7 May 2026

The first public release of Liquid Radius. Liquid Radius standardizes the window corner radius of every Mac app on macOS Tahoe to match Apple's flagship Liquid Glass apps.

Highlights

  • Universal radius control. One toggle applies a unified corner radius across every Mac app, system or third-party.
  • Three advanced tweaks. Indented traffic lights, taller title bar, and centered title bar.
  • Recovery Mode escape hatch. One nvram command in Recovery Mode disables every injection path on next boot.
